Flying with NEOFUEL™ means:

Flying without lead in your fuel
Reducing your carbon emissions and your costs,
Eliminating once and for all the constraints associated with AVGAS

Vision

NEOFUEL© revolutionizes aviation by crafting and certifying kits that allow your aircraft to run on readily available lead-free fuels. Embrace a future of sustainable flight and contribute to a healthier planet, all without needing to replace your trusted traditional engines when AVGAS ceases to be distributed.

NO LEAD NOR CARBON.

The phase‑out of leaded AVGAS is scheduled for May 2032 in Europe and January 2030 in the USA.
This does not mean the end of your engine—quite the opposite. It represents a unique opportunity to continue flying with your conventional engine while simultaneously reducing lead and carbon emissions, benefiting from a reduced fuel flow (up to 20 to 25%).

NEOFUEL™ develops and certifies retrofit kits that enable the use of all available unleaded fuels, supporting sustainable aviation and a healthier planet—while preserving the traditional engines installed in your aircraft.

Our solutions complement electric and hydrogen technologies, which will not be available for all aircraft within the required timeframe.

Kits for Lycoming™Continental™, and Rotax™ engines are currently under development, with certification processes set to begin shortly.

Our innovative solutions seamlessly integrate with legacy engines, ensuring no part of the existing fleet is left behind. Today, we are in the process of developing and certifying kits for Lycoming™, Continental™ or Rotax™ engines.

LEAD & CARBON

Today, the vast majority of light aircraft powered by piston engines still rely on leaded gasoline (AVGAS)—the last leaded fuel still produced and distributed worldwide.
In both the United States and Europe, the harmful effects of tetraethyl lead (TEL) contained in AVGAS have raised serious concerns, prompting regulatory action to ensure its complete elimination.

  • In the United States, the pilot community has voluntarily agreed to cease the use of leaded AVGAS from 2030, resulting in its disappearance as of that date.
  • In Europe, the importation of TEL has been formally banned since 2025. Temporary exemptions have been granted, allowing the use of AVGAS until May 2032.

New fuels are emerging—such as UL‑91, UL‑94, GAMI™, and others—but significant uncertainties remain regarding their compatibility with the existing fleet and their certification status.

Most importantly, none of these solutions addresses the issue of carbon emissions, which represents the next major challenge for the general aviation community.

As the industry adapts, pilots may face a challenging transition, with various platforms building their own support networks.

NEOFUEL is taking the lead by developing and certifying MULTIFUEL KITS to give pilots more power and flexibility:

CHOOSE THE FUEL AVAILABLE AT THE AIRFIELD, CHOOSE PEACE OF MIND.

MultiFUEL Technology :
One solution. Two challenges addressed.

This is the only viable solution during (and after) the transition period: it prevents you from becoming captive to the networks of these new fuels.

NEOFUEL™ introduces multi‑fuel technology to aircraft engines.

This technology allows you to select your fuel from a wide range, including:

  • AVGAS 100LL,
  • unleaded aviation fuels (UL‑91™, UL‑94™, GAMI™, etc.),
  • automotive fuels (SP98, SP95, E10…),
  • and ethanol‑based fuels that are lead‑free and low‑carbon, such as E85.

All existing engines—Lycoming™Continental™, and Rotax™—will be eligible for a certified retrofit kit (AML/STC approved by EASA, FAA, or national authorities).

At a time when negotiations surrounding AVGAS replacement fuel certification offer no clear, scalable solution, introducing fuel flexibility has become essential.

NEOFUEL™ kits therefore integrate electronic fuel injection and ignition modules, derived from the most advanced automotive technologies and adapted to meet the stringent requirements of aviation.

NEOFUEL™ certified kits facilitate the transition by enabling the use of all aviation and automotive fuels available on European airfields, including E85, which is 85% ethanol and 15% unleaded gasoline.

This capability is made possible through:

  • advanced ignition management with variable timing(replacing magnetos),
  • modern fuel injection system that continuously analyzes the fuel in the tanks and automatically adjusts engine parameters in real time.

As a result, detonation and knocking are eliminatedhourly fuel consumption is reduced by 20–25%, and pilot workload is significantly lowered through automatic mixture management
